About The Ministry
Stop the Madness Outreach Ministry is a family-oriented ministry that is ordained to share the message about Jesus Christ in a very non-traditional way. Stop the Madness launched its evangelistic work, on Sunday, January 1, 1995. The first phase began when Minister Dorothy King hit the airwaves as a Christian radio talk show host. The purpose was to bring vital issues to the front-line and speak to them prophetically. At the time, Minister King did not know she was breaking barriers as the first African American female to produce and host a talk show on WBYE 1370AM. In 2008, after 676 weeks and over 700 interviews, this well respected radio broadcast came to an end. As the ministry developed a new component was birthed. This led to the next phase called "Nuggets of Truth," a quarterly Christian newsletter that highlighted outstanding achievements in the Christian community. Also, during this time, in order to address and combat the prevailing issues affecting the youth culture, we created and produced a monthly teen talk show hosted by middle and high school students. Stop the Madness Ministry Outreach is continuing its journey of delivering God's message through clothes give- a-ways, Back to School Assistance, Yuletide Festival, Mother Daughter Formal Dinner, Coordinating Weddings, Empowerment Summits, Conferences, Seminars and Work shops, Debutante Balls, Christian plays, and any other activities needed to uplift The Body of Christ.

Our Purpose and Beliefs
Our family’s ultimate purpose is to Glorify God. We strongly believe there is no greater purpose than seeing God acknowledged by all creation throughout the universe for all eternity as the ever-ruling King of Kings and as the covenant-keeping Lord of Lords. We believe the role of Stop the Madness Outreach Ministries is to persuade people to come to church, where they will have the opportunity to enter into that discipleship process. We believe to effectively evangelize; we must do it God's way. We believe our task is to be faithful in what He calls us to do. We believe the results are up to Him. We do not rely on prepackaged programs but rather on God who does the saving and who brings the growth. We believe there are a variety of approaches that can be used in sharing Christ with others. We understand the best approach is the one that meets the individual where he/she is. We believe this is part of what the Apostle Paul meant in 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 when he said, "I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some.” We believe you should not get so hung up on a set method that you lose sight of the fact that according to 1 Corinthians 4:20, "the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.”……God's power! We understand if someone gets saved, it is not because of us but because of God. We believe He may use what we do but ultimately He does the work. We believe possibly more important than the actual method we use is the way we use it. We exercise gentleness and respect even when opposed, without quarreling. We believe the Word of God is what brings conviction, not us. We believe God initiated the concept of sowing and reaping which also applies to evangelism. Some will reap what others have sown. We believe a person's salvation is usually the result of the testimony of many people and events. Whatever our part, whether it’s preparing the soil by building relationships, sowing the seed by being the one to share the Word, nurturing the seed that has been planted, or reaping that which has been sown ... we know that we have made an investment into eternity!
